Christy: A Household Name – Part 1

Christy is a household name for me, we go way back. Christy towels have been a staple item at my mums house growing up. They’ve lasted years and years. You listen to your parents right? Well at least some times! And I think she was right on this one.

It’s no wonder my mum has been using Christy towels for years, the company’s story starts right back in 1850, so I can imagine families have been using them for decades.

It was super cool to meet Christy at the NBA’s last year and get to know their brand a bit more (as well as jump in a huge bed they had set up – had I had a couple more prosecco’s, I’d have happily stayed there for the evening!).

The Bedroom

I was lucky enough to be sent a whole host of items from Christy and I thought I’d start with my favourite pieces for the bedroom. I chose the ‘Japonica’ bedding set which is a rich navy colour with bold accents of red and green. I read about their influences to create the set and it couldn’t be more like me –

‘Japonica – The bold traveller
Bedrooms are an expression of you. So if you are a fan of venturing into tropical paradises during your holidays, then this design is the perfect reflection of the summer you! Styled with wooden décor, you can easily transform your bedroom into a secluded exotic escape.’

I crave travel and love to get lost in another culture so this bedding concept really spoke to me. Our own little piece of paradise to come home to.

It was cool to see the wooden accents in their photographs of the bedding set. It matches our natural bedroom aesthetic perfectly!

I’m not one for noisy patterns on bedding, it’s essential to have a space for relaxation and rest. But this set has such a warm rich feel to it. I put the duvet cover on and instantly climbed into bed. It has completely transformed the feel of my duvet, it makes you feel like you’ve got a new duvet too. The sheet has a 200 thread count and the pattern is printed onto a wonderful sateen silk cotton. It feels silky smooth and it makes getting under the sheets at bedtime that bit more luxurious.

Christy currently have a massive up to 50% off sale. This duvet set has 50% off but be quick as sizes are selling out – Japonica Bed Linen

Accompanying this beautiful bedding is an atlas throw in a bold red brick colour. It’s the perfect way of adding a bit more texture and colour to your bedding. If red isn’t your thing, they also stock it in a beautiful teal colour. They have a whole range of other throws from white to charcoal to mink if your wanting something a bit more subtle which will match a variety of tones.

One of the best things about Christy is that they stock many of their items in different sizes dependant on what your looking for. A good example of this is the cushion featured in the image above. I have the 30 x 45cm cushion which is perfect for mixing up your cushion shapes. So many places only stock a square shaped pillow so it’s nice to have more options. As always I can’t fault Christy on quality or design. I am excited to see them trying out modern designs and textures. Who said bedding had to be plain and boring? I love how varied their ranges are, which appeal to such an array of different people.

Their products are timeless, chic, good quality, affordable and designed to perfection.

Thanks again to Christy for sending me this beautiful set and I can’t wait to show you my bathroom items and official Wimbledon merchandise in future blog posts.

Thanks for reading as always you lovely lot,

Look at that for timing! Just about to go live and Kit jumps onto the bed for a snuggle!
