Botanical – Bringing the outdoors in. Featuring Desenio.

Two years in the making

Yes we’ve been in our first house together for THAT long! It’s taken us ages to get things how we want them and we’re still nowhere near done. But that’s okay, Rome wasn’t built in a day! We’ve made the biggest changes to the lounge, bathroom and bedroom. A lick of fresh paint and a few small details have made all the difference in our lounge. Desenio is somewhere I’ve headed to in the past few months for prints, so I was very excited to be approached by them for a collaboration. They are reasonably priced and most of the prints come in a range of sizes.

Our home style is an eclectic mix of old and new and we’re slowly filling the place with house plants. I liked the idea of reflecting that theme with our art choices too. Upon exploring Desenio I found a huge number of botanical inspired prints. These hugely appealed and would look good in a number of rooms.

Evenly uneven. That’s the look we wanted to go for. I like the idea that we can build upon these by adding prints of different shapes and sizes around them. We went for four prints in two different sizes to keep things slightly more symmetrical.

I am so impressed with the quality of the prints and the oak frames match our wall colour perfectly. I like how natural and true to form the photographs are, but the edited pink background adds something a little extra and really makes the smaller ones stand out.
